New Way to Make Money Online - Almost as Good as Money in the Bank
69
I am always looking out for new ways to make more money online with less effort, even with mapquest. Recently I came across an innovation that you may want to hear about because it may affect the way you earn with your website in the very near future. I just signed up myself, and I decided I want to share it with you, guys, too. I think there is enough room there for everybody...
As you may know, major television networks are in trouble because their advertising revenue is dropping. At least people say so. TV networks are losing market share to the Internet. More and more people prefer to consume news themselves on their own schedule rather then being fed with something already half-processed, and on the schedule set by somebody else.
For the first time in history, website owners are sharing in the ad revenue that was formerly spent with the giant TV networks. Advertisers like Harley Davidson, HBO & Taco Bell are willing to pay you and me on 100% of our website traffic to make up for the loss of viewers that the big TV networks are experiencing.
"Thanks" to Google, we all got used to pay per click (PPC, or more "professional" CPC - cost per click) ads, and many newcomers to the business even do not know that there are other methods, more favorable for publishers. The best would be cost per time (CPT) of course, when you set up an ad once, and get paid a fixed sum of almost free money on the regular basis no matter what. As long as you are in, it is as good as the money in the bank.
Next to the best is CPI or CPM - cost per impression or thousand impressions (Latin Mille or Roman numeral M). Under this method you get paid by the number of impressions, i.e. how many times you displayed the ad to your visitors. No action is needed on the user side, nobody counts clicks, you don't have to worry about optimization or click fraud. Your only worry is traffic - the more traffic you bring to the page with this ad, the more money you make.
This new program I stumbled upon uses CPM method with a twist, and they call their method PPP - pay per Play. What is play? Play is a 5 second long context targeted audio ad, which is played once per page per visitor, right after the page loads. This is the twist, and this is the innovation. Nobody else did such kind of ads before on the Internet, as far as I know.
So, if you join, you get paid every time visitor opens the page with ad code. The more pages and visitors you have, the more you get paid. The good news are - if you have a website or blog, this service will complement whatever monetizing model you have in place already. Well, the bad news are - you can't use it on Hubpages. Not until HP staff looks into this and possibly adds this program to the list.
OK, I'm not teasing you any more, go read what they have to say about their service - here is the link - Ooops, there is no my affiliate link any more. Unfortunately, those guys went belly up...
Perhaps, you might want to learn how to beat a speeding ticket, or to browse through my selection of coach handbags. In fact, you might even find it entertaining going to my main site and reading a few articles about safe driving, including Joshua Nestor's report on TX defensive driving.

Nice i will look into this. I'm always looking for a way to earn some extra easy money. :-)
Hey Misha, thanks for sharing... might just prove to be another technique for those high traffic sites, the best part about ppp is it doesn't take visitors off the page and only plays 5 secs of audio so there's plenty of scope for multiple passes.
Thanks, Misha. It's something to think about!
Yeah I've heard about this. Wonder if its as easy as they say. Look out for the next wave of Make Money from ebooks.
I'll have to check it out thanks for the tip.
I suppose to check, thanx for sharing.
Interesting..will check it out!
I had already looked at these guys - speaking personally, I find these things annoying when I visit a website. ( didn't give the game away ) I guess it depends if you are looking for regular readers or search engine traffic.
New Way to Make Money Online is something i strive for so thanks, everything helps:)
What I found entertaining is that they don't use it themselves:D
Good information but when I started to sign up it said that the program that pays you starts in Feb and they wanted me to place my ads on my network now?
So that just tell me it like some of the other programs that havent paid anything out yet.
coolbreeze they are trying to find out what the stats are...you don't have any ads playing until Feb....I signed up about a week ago...I am excited to see how this works out!
a good use made of law of attraction with good pics,I am working on PPP,wish you all the best, care to join my club
Thanks for an informative article
Great hub, very informative. I will definitely be looking into it. I am a fan.
Great info Misha! Thanks for sharing this.Need to take a survey.Geat pictures too. Money,Money,Money....Thanks again.
Wish google would make it this way too...that's a happy thought!
Thanks Misha, I will defiantly look in to it great hub nice one
I didnt imply they were a scam 100s of real business were well meaning since 1997 have not paid and never will. I personally dont like the pre-launch crap. I dont care whos backing them. I have had literally 1000s of people signed up for 100s of different pre-launches over the past 10 years that never worked. I like working with networks that are paying I use about around a dozen that have paid me.
Thank you for this posting!
i def hadn't heard the last one. great info. thks.
Thanks for the hub, great information and nice photos too!
I think you hubs are great Misha, You are a very nice person also ! If you see me ranting to much tell me to stop I respect your driving man ;-)
Nice article! Give it a few months and these will be on every other blog. At this time I think I am going to stray from using this method, but who knows, if the earnings are worth it and people aren't to bothered by it I might just put them on my blogs too..
Stephanie
Nice photos. Eye candy never killed anyone.
Thank you Misha,
I will be joining straight away.
Please have a happy New Year and a better 2008
Good Hub
Keep up the good work!
smile:)
GREAT and Powerful info ! Thanks !
looks good ...may give it a try
information on hubpages is scattered on this topic though it constitute the material for a hot hub. Anyways its a good effort to present this piece of information
Prolific information, thankx for sharing .
Definately thanks to Google.
Thanks, Misha. Would be interesting to hear any success stories, or failures of anyone who has actually done this. Have you used it on any of your sites, Misha?
Misha,
I'm still having very good luck with Adsense. At the rate I'm going, I should be able to quit my dayjob, if I want to, in about 6 months. I do like the day job, however.
This hub has some nice photos, by the way.
Jonathan
This is indeed a new ways of monetizing a blog or website if you receive a lot of traffic. I wonder how many people will be able to hear those ads since we don't know how many have their speakers turned ON . But thats not our concern I guess :D
I don't think anybody will pay money so easily Mr.Misha.Another such website is thereto which I recently joined. It is www.mylot.com. There also you need not publish anything. just put some topic for discussion, and the resposes it draws, brings you money. Also, referels. But I found that on average i am getting only one cent per day! For that you have to spend atleast half an hour per day.
Just calaculate how much internet accession charges you have to pay while browsing that perticular web. Afterall the webhost is not running a charity show!.
I looked at it and it says it is in Beta and not taking any more members. I get about 10,000 uniques a month but don't know if it would be good to put on an ecomerce site.
Truly appreciate the heads up! I, too, (as I guess all we Hubbers are) am always looking for more ways to make $ online (the less effort part is certainly a nice bonus!).
I just went to the site and they are not excepting new members at the present time. Darn!
Great article; great pics too.
I can't figure if the pics distracted the article or if the article distracted the pics, anyway, you got a winner there!

HI Misha
Great information. I am interested to know more about because I love internet marketing and I am always learning so I can teach others.

Thanks, Misha. The TV networks need to take a look at why they are losing viewers. Maybe cookie-cutter reporting is outdated?
Also, did you guys know that Google is now into YouTube advertising? Maybe video blogs are the wave of the future. A Hawaiian swimsuit video blog might be worth thinking about!
Great info...definitely worth looking into. Thanks for sharing!
Appreciate the info. I will definetly look into. Thanks
Great Info -- will be going onto your other hubs and thanks!
Nice Hub Misha! I've been hearing a lot about Pay-Per-Play lately. It will be interesting to see how it compares to pay-per-click and other advertising formats.
I am not sure about it,why not you make your info a little authentic. Thanks
Very informative! Really nice of you to share. :)
Nice one dude, its nice to know that some people still prioritise sharing over greed. Thanks.
Interesting...... others mentioned they surf with sound OFF.... I surf with firfox script block add on, and thus no sound ever pops on without my "temporary approvel."
This does however have a great application. Nice way to introduce an affiliate program. Thanks and keep on driving!
I'm going to look into it does google penalize you on rankings...they are protective...I don't know much about this....Marisue
Thx for introducing something new with this article, Misha. I am going to check it out.
Your graphics are certainly eyecatching, I am still trying to figure out how to use "referrals" here on hub pages, let alone add anything else :) LOL
Thanks for another informative hub, Misha. I did not know about this program before and I appreciate you sharing your knowledge.
it new idea ... It looks geat keep up the good work So many money needed yes
Are you seeing any cashflow from this yet? Keep me updated
This is Great!, thanks!!! :)
How I wish this could be workable. I attempted to join them back in December but when I checked around I smelt a rat – the top guys are known for not paying. Either way, I will wait and see, and I wish them all the best.
There's always a new way to make money
Hi,
This hub is so Informative,Thanks a lot for sharing this with us
Regards
Thanks Misha- I learning more and more everyday!
Hi Misha - I had PPP on my blogs for a while but took it down as I think the audio ads will annoy people and also I wasn't amking much as I don't get many visitors. What ha your experience been ? Are you sticking with it ? Vic
This article has drawn too much attention which perhaps Misha himself had not expected. In my previous response, i had not not mistaken anything. Will Misha say how much he has earned and how many hours he invested for this perticular site?
LOL, so far i've made like 2 cents - i think i'm doing something WRONG!!!!!
Misha, thanks for the updates. I hope this program works out. It sounds promising once it gets off the ground.
Good one.
Thanks for sharing :)
Seems almost to good to be true.
I will try this out and after I make my fist million we will bbuy two ferarris and crash them into each other!
Misha! really its great. But it requires generating a website with good content and making it popular for the beginnars. Isn't it time consuming??
misha i joined and it is very cofusing...
@quiet tracer:
Yep - sure is time consuming to build a site for with good content.
You may even have to do some - shudder- WORK!
But this is the type of site that Google increasingly favours.
So if you have an interest in a particular subject area, why not build a good site and continually build on it.
There are many schemes out there that rely on setting up hundreds of websites on different topics and sticking adsense, Private Label content, and/or RSS feeds on them.
Google are getting very good at penalising these sites, so that they appear on page 236 of the listings - or go to the sandbox and don't appear at all.
PlayPerPlay was in PreLaunch, I signed up and started promoting my invitation link at: http://jazlive.com/; when the code for the video became available, it would not work on my site but is functional on my blog http://jazlivecash.blogspot.com/ however, there is a limited amount of rotating ads. I have yet to see earnings. The blog is in rotation in several of the free traffic exchanges I promote on my business website.
Misha, let me know if and when you actually make any money with this.
I am just Dieing here to find out if the ads COMPETE with your sites!!!!!
I can't find it anywhere (unless I am just to tired and missed it) - but the code is on the way so i will soon find out!!!!
IF the ads do NOT directly compete with my own services, this will be great if it really is as *good* as it sounds made out to be...
If they Do compete - then the advertisers are BOOBS and the thing won't fly.
I am skeptical after being hosed by commission junction for 3500.00$ (no, I am NOT kidding OR lieing) a few years back. $3500.00 they just DID not pay me...long story but NO excuse on their part - they still legally OWE me that money and so...you can see why I am a skeptic until something is tried, true, tested and majorly - the $$ comes into the bank (or paypal) REGULARLY!!!
PSS - WHERE oh Where do you get all these really lovely chicks pictures for your hubs?? You just ask them? :}
All this MLM promotion on HubPages is getting sooooooooooo tiring.... find an Internet marketing forum, they love this kind of stuff.
Thanks for Sharing and not keeping it TOP SECRET.
This sounds good, but way too advanced for me yet. I just bookmarked this page as yet another page that I have to come back to when I figure out all the beginner stuff I still have to learn. Wow I'm far behind on this stuff. Sheesh.
I was looking for a program to get into this with the main site I'm about to launch.
This is AWESOME! Thanks, Misha.
Good article, Misha, thank you for sharing.
Hey Misha! This is a great resource for newbies like me! I signed up under your code just to be "neighborly" :-) not really knowing yet what I could do and I found training and tutorials for all the stuff I don't know how to do but have been kind of embarrassed to ask! PLUS I think the product is cool. So thank you for the info!!!
Great tips. I love the pictures associated with it.
I wish hubpages had more advertising options (although they have opened me up to a few that I didn't know about)
I enjoyed your hub on making money online, Misha! I am still a newbie in internet business and your hub will be a good reference. Thanks for your hub.
franciaonline
I joined under you. Khanks
Misha! Thanks for writing this hub, and I am going to try it. Can you do this with more than just one blog? I am always looking for new ways to make money online. I know there are people making a lot of money online, although I never really met anyone yet who was an online millionaire. That almighty internet buck is an elusive one. I have been online since 1996, and at first I could make a lot of money selling books....but after a few years that fell by the wayside when everyone else started doing the same thing. I think you have to be in on the ground floor, and then go for it. I am looking forward to more of your making money online posts.
Misha-I noticed there are no Ebay or Amazon ads on your hubpage?
Well, this has certainly been interesting - the hub *and* all of the comments! Thank you for sharing this information, as well as all the rest of your opinions. :-)
Great hub and comments! This was very educational.
Thank you for this hub Misha.
Sorry in advance for posting as a new subscriber, but I do need to get this off my chest
I'm concerned for newbies, as many spend their time and bread money on internet marketing hoping to make some quick money.
All this talk about making a few cents at a time from stacks of sources should make some stop and think, as it is in stark contrast to the many sites promising thousands a month in income with little work.
As well as being new to hubpages, I am a noob. Have stayed that way for years despite huge ammount of time spent learning.
I still have not found one reliable way to earn a living online, although I have been in business for forty years offline.
What I need is to be able to put good product online and have them sell.
This is not easy to do with any sort of volume in any market I know of.
Look at what you need to spend if you do get some sales of your own product.
It is very hard to get any net.
Auto-responder fees, shopping cart fees, list hosting, testing time, advertising costs run in to thousands a week.
How do I know? My daughter turns over 4k a week. Thats 16k a month.
She sells a simple ebook, and with expenses cannot live off the net return.
As her list has grown to over 125k she has had to buy more bandwidth, pay more for her list hosting on her shopping cart, and needs more online services.
The internet is not suited to anyone looking to get rich quick, or even slow if they want to maintain their integrity.
It is a geek game, and complex as all hell.
A hand full of people know how to do the tech stuff, you know, stuffing every article with and creating authoritive backlinks with methods that they do not tell about.
I do have friends who make a living on line. Nobody sees them. All they do is work and have no time for family, which is why they started to work at home in the first place. And this after years online and hundreds of websites and blogs.
They are the big winners, not noobs like me, or most of the fine people here.
Thanks for the input Misha, I appreciate it. We have just made some major changes to the home page, and the squeeze page is getting some more testing.
I will tell my daughter to take a look at your hub.
I am so pleased to know someone is making some decent net profit. More power to you!
Thanks Misha! I, too, have remained a "noob" since first coming online in 1989. The technologies change so fast that I find it very difficult to keep up with it and just about the time I begin...everything shifts or changes. LOL. Thank you for the heads up on this new PPP.
Last night, while searching for a different type of generating internet income, I came across something called PPP also. But it is a Pay-Per-Post thing for creating articles and ads for writers.
Since, I haven't yet gotten a web page or a blog up myself to do the Pay Per Play ads, I will hope to employ this later on.
BTW Even $20.00 a month from several ad companies will help offset the prices of a connection to the internet, or help pay for a web host. You keep up the great work...I plan to watch more of your writings! =o)
Thanks, Misha, for this information. I am going to look into it. Thanks!
Misha...I big thumbs up for this hub. It seems everyone is looking for a way to make extra money online. It also seems like there is another scam born every other day. It's very frustrating when you think you finally found a way to make some extra money, and it just turns into another big dud. Thanks for being honest and giving us the heads up on this program
Thanks for the CPM info. I didn't understand it until you mentioned it.
Great Hub and Good Post! Thanks for the quality info..
I think it’s great that you kept this hub up. It’s encouraging to see honesty for a change. Thanks Misha!
Great article,I am someone, maybe it is my colour hair haha but I have read so many different ways to make money, that I am totally confused. It drives me to a Bourbon, for relief.I mean even with Adsense here,I am doing it totally wrong it showed data last week now when I log into Google it is empty again aghhhh.

Great info in hub. I really like the way you respond to the comments, too. It's no wonder you have so many fans. Keep up the good work.
Great hub. You are an excellent writer and I will be reading more of your hubs. I have seen you around in alot of the forums. You really seem to know how things work around here. Thanks for sharing your wisdom:)
Thanks for stopping by my hub I found yours full of good advice thanks
by the way is that McLean Va.
Very informative site, thanks for the info.
Interesting and useful Info - Will look into it. I wonder if I can use it for a Website that already displays Google ADs...
Ok that's interesting, although this is all still very new for me.
um.... where did the link go?
Great hub! Thanks a lot for information. Appreciate it!
Misha,
Are you planning to inform something new?
Thanks and thumbs up!
Jyoti Kothari
Interesting Hub! An unusual subject! Most interesting! Thanks!
You attracted my interest,Misha, because, as you know, I am looking for ways of making more money online. Thanks for the info here!
Your tactics are very clever... I like your style! x
So they went belly up?? Will they be back up and running?
Whatever may be the differences in experience, the hub has created a very useful and novel discussion. For this, we must thank Misha.
What a shame they went under. I think there may be others doing this now however. Great hub with a disappointing end. :-(
A few months ago I recall I checked them out after a long break and I found that I was able to log in with my username and password. However all my downliners were gone. The list was blank. Now their URL re-directs to another site. Guess audio ads won't work.
misha great articles but do you know the websites that pay for your creativity?
Not bad, Misha. Only thing is, I'm getting more and more attracted to the wrong SORT of booty in that last graphic. Gotta remember to stick to pirate booty...(chants to self) "Stick to pirate booty...stick to pirate booty...."
Ridiculosity aside, Pay Per Play definitely sounds intriguing. Come on, HP!
Thanks for the informative hub.
This is something innovative. Does the ad start playing when the visitors open the page or should they play it. Some people might be annoyed when the page starts playing sound suddenly.
Thank you for this informative hub
Interesting. Will definitely check it out. Thanks for sharing.
3 Years Ago? Please tell me you are a millionaire from this hub alone lol.
I have just spent who knows how long reading this huge posting and it has probably saved me days and a small fortune.
I ate a whole pizza reading this!
You have to leave this hub up and not just for the bucks.
PS When I was a kid starting work they sent me to get a bucket of steam. ha ha
